Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.

You got into business one way or the other, there's two sides to the wheel. And if you look to the right hand side, this is what I would call " the front of the house ". Okay, the front of the house the effective side of your business. This is the part that brings in the ideas, brings in the leads, brings in the sales, great. Then there's the back of the house, back of the house makes all things happen. You're the wizard of Oz behind the curtain, this is the efficient side of the business. The efficient side of the business tries to codify, document and make a consistent experience for the employees and the clients over and over and over again. Alright, one thing we have to be careful of, and if I had my flip chart I would be drawing things for you here. But on the right hand side of the wheel, is the effective side. One of the big mistakes we see, managers make is they try to make this side of the wheel efficient. It's not built for efficiency. The sales and marketing function of your business is design to be effective first, efficient second.
